Tycho has built a career at the intersection of technology and service.Tycho’s background is in mechatronics with a particular focus on robotics and cybernetics. Having worked over a decade in IT, Tycho is experienced with modern and legacy PC, Mac, & Linux systems, and is comfortable with hardware and software solutions both. For over two years Tycho has provided digital marketing services with a focus on digital analytics and SEO; and in consulting, makes good use of methodologies and strategies learned from several years as a professional organiser.As an avid advocate of the right to repair movement and the open-source model, Tycho believes that technology should be accessible, repairable, and ever-evolving to the needs of its users.When not engaged with client work or professional conferences, Tycho can be found geeking out over the latest in tech innovations and physics journals, tinkering with spare parts and coding gibberish, reading historical non-fiction and technical manuals, penning sci-fi and musical compositions, baking gluten-free goodies, hiking and photographing the natural world, and volunteering with local organisations...and all with a trusty mug of tea in hand.Tycho is a member of the Rotary Club for Global Action, and creator of the Discord servers Orcas Connect and Tycho's Tearoom.
